CaloriCam is developed by A2S Flow. This policy explains exactly what the app collects, where it goes, and how long it is kept. It describes the app as it actually works — not a generic template.
You can use CaloriCam without giving us your name, phone number, or any social account. The app creates an anonymous account identified by a random ID. Providing an email address is optional and only needed if you want to sync your data across more than one device.
When you photograph a meal, the image is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which forwards it to Google's Gemini vision API for analysis. The analysis returns the identified foods and an estimated calorie and macronutrient breakdown.
The following is kept on our server so it can be synchronised to your other devices:
CaloriCam does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not sell, rent, or share your data with data brokers, advertisers, or any third party for their own purposes. The only external service that receives anything is Google's Gemini API, and only the food photo you chose to analyse.
All traffic between the app and our servers uses HTTPS. Session tokens are stored only as hashes on the server. Every request is scoped to your account, so one account cannot read another account's data.
You can delete any individual meal, weight, or water entry from inside the app at any time; the deletion propagates to the server and to your other devices.
To delete your entire account and everything stored under it, email a2sflow@proton.me from the address on the account, or use the account-deletion option in the app where available. We erase all associated records within 30 days and confirm by reply.
You may also request a copy of the data held under your account by writing to the same address.
Meal, weight, and water entries are kept until you delete them or delete your account. Anonymous accounts with no activity for 24 months may be removed automatically.
CaloriCam is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Calorie and nutrient figures are estimates produced by an automated model from a single photograph, and they can be wrong. CaloriCam is a general wellness tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice. Consult a qualified health professional before making decisions about your diet, particularly if you have a medical condition.
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, notify you in the app.
