Common problems and how to fix them.
Hostinger changes their menu sometimes. Look for "VPS" or "Applications" or search for "Hermes" on their site. The referral link still gets you the discount.
Try a different card. Contact your bank to allow international payment. Hostinger also accepts PayPal in most countries.
Check spam folder. Check the email you used during signup. It can take 2-5 minutes. Still nothing? Contact Hostinger support — they have 24/7 live chat.
Log into your Hostinger hPanel → look for "Applications" or "Websites" → find your VPS → click "Manage" or "Login" next to Hermes Agent.
Wait 5 minutes and refresh. If the VPS just finished deploying, Hermes takes a moment to start. If it persists, contact @A2SBot.
Make sure your phone number includes the country code (e.g. +1 for US, +972 for Israel). Telegram sends an SMS or call — wait for it.
Use a VPN to download the app, or use the web version at web.telegram.org.
Make sure you're sending commands exactly: /newbot — BotFather is case-sensitive. If still no reply, restart Telegram and try again.
Check: Did you paste the token correctly in the Hermes dashboard? Did you click Save? Wait 30 seconds and try again. Still broken? Restart your Hermes dashboard.
In Telegram, open @BotFather → send /mybots → click your bot → API Token → you can copy it again.
Make sure you clicked "Save" or "Create" in the dashboard. Also check that the skill name has no spaces or special characters.
Be more specific. Instead of "be nice", write "Always greet the customer with 'Hello!' and ask for their name." Add example conversations — agents learn from examples.
Your instructions need more examples. Go back to Step 5 and add more conversation examples in the skill.
This is normal — agents need tweaking. Edit your skill, add clearer rules, and test again. Expect 2-3 rounds of improvements.
Check that you named the skill exactly lead-manager. If the name is wrong, the agent can't find it. Also make sure the receptionist skill isn't intercepting the conversation first.
The Commander needs clear rules about when to delegate. In your commander skill, add: "If someone asks to book → use the receptionist. If someone asks about services → use lead-manager."
Make sure you're using exactly the command from the skill — e.g. Boss here. Summary. Capitalization matters to the agent.
Check your business-info skill — make sure the hours, prices, and services are correct. The agent can only repeat what you wrote.
Add it to the business-info skill. Write: "Business Name: [Your Business Name]" at the top.
